Straight and Narrow

Living up to potential always comes back to doing the work you ought to be doing and whether or not you're doing it. Simply put in my own words, it's "do the right work the right way." Abraham Lincoln said "anything worth doing is worth doing well." My mother had another way of saying it. It goes something like this:

Stick to your task till it sticks to you;

Beginners are many, but enders are few.

Honor, power, place, and praise

Will come, in time, to the one who stays.

Stick to your task till it sticks to you;

Bend at it, sweat at it, smile at it too;

For out of the bend and the sweat and the smile

Will come life's victories, after awhile.
