Two Things

#1-- I have a new favorite pianist, David Lanz. I've listened to a number of his albums now and decided that he wins my allegiance (for now). His melodies are haunting! I especially enjoy "Cristofori's Dream" and "Return to the Heart." "Vesuvius" is also really good.

#2-- I think I may have met a too-tall frog. : )

Hmmm. Don't know David Lanz, but I love the picture of the keys. Very contemporary. :)

LOVE David Lanz. I especially enjoy Skyline Firedance (and I LOVE playing Prelude to the Dance). However, I still prefer Jon Schmidt to him. Oh, and David Lanz's Christmas music is great as well. Do you play the piano? I've got a lot of his books if you're interested in taking a look.

Also, if I'm not off on my assumption on the frog (and I don't think I am), he's too tall? Huh.

I didn't know you had such good taste, Bill. No I don't play the piano, not really. I didn't know you did, that's really cool. I'd love to look at those books! Next time I'm at your apt remind me...

Oh, and Bill-- "too-tall frog" is a reference to a movie you haven't seen. I guarantee that only my family will understand the reference. Sorry. :)

Sure thing, you're more than welcome to check them out. You may also enjoy David Benoit or James Oneil Miner (sp?). (Though again, I still prefer Jon Schmidt. Perhaps I'm prejudiced, though...)

And yeah, I'm very much a pianist, and I love listening to piano music.

Indeed. I'm intrigued about the frog reference now... What's the movie?

I would tell you Bill but you'd likely make fun of me. I don't trust you yet. Suffice it to say that it's an old movie that I grew up on.

O.o Trust me. I don't make fun of people's movie choices.

I have no ROOM to make fun of people's movie choices...

Ahahaha. What a great response!

It's true.

Trust me, when you have a movie collection like mine, there's ALWAYS something for someone to hate. I consider myself to be a true ecclectic.

There are some movies that I truly enjoy, and one or two that I'm kind of embarassed to own... :-D
