Pumpkin Love

I am dying to get my hands on some pumpkins to carve. Fall makes me dream of raking leaves, laughing through corn mazes, and baked apple sweets. Most of all I look at my porch and dream of jack-o-lantern faces glowing there at night.

All I have to do is wait until it's closer to Halloween so my carving doesn't rot!

There isn't a limit on pumpkins you can carve. Carve more than one!!

If you've got space in your fridge, you can take longer to carve it and start earlier. Jarom (from the old ward) would generally take an entire month to carve his pumpkins, and he kept them fresh by refrigerating them. They turned out AWESOME.

No one's better at carving pumpkins than my older brother Jared. End of story.

You can varnish pumpkins too-- makes them last. And now they wouldn't need much refrigeration because it's so cold out. But if it gets hot again... my porch gets an awful lot of sunshine in the afternoon. Too risky.
